Code, Courts and Judicial Proceedings § 11–404","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to an examination in aid of enforcement of a money judgment entered or recorded in a circuit court or in the District Court.\n(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, in ruling on a request by a judgment creditor for an examination in aid of enforcement, the court may not require the judgment creditor to show that good cause exists for the examination.\n(2) The court may require a judgment creditor to show that good cause exists for the examination of a person if the court granted a request by the judgment creditor for an examination of the same person within the previous 12 months.","path":["Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcj\u0026section=11-404","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:03Z","sha256":"79f6e51ebbe9ff81af99448df3a5e8702198b4717780ca345fc6ce12079df975","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-11-403","next":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-11-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
