Code, Criminal Law § 10–120","heading":"","body":"(a) A person being issued a citation under §§ 10-113 through 10-119 of this part or § 26-103 of the Education Article may not fail or refuse to furnish proof of identification and age on request of the person issuing the citation.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $50.\n(c) (1) The juvenile court has jurisdiction over a minor who is within the age of juvenile court jurisdiction.\n(2) If there is a waiver of juvenile jurisdiction with respect to a minor who is otherwise subject to juvenile court jurisdiction, the District Court has jurisdiction over the matter, notwithstanding any contrary provision of § 4-301 of the Courts Article.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=10-120","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"1cc6f332c65d6f0dd9c906a1d69ffad5e5e63ac98c5a63b07d8102aec998f84d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-10-119","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-10-121"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
