Code, Criminal Law § 10–301","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Gender identity” has the meaning stated in § 20–101 of the State Government Article.\n(c) “Homeless” means:\n(1) lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence; or\n(2) having a primary nighttime residence that is:\n(i) a supervised publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations; or\n(ii) a public or private place not designed for or ordinarily used as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.\n(d) “Sexual orientation” means the identification of an individual as to male or female homosexuality, heterosexuality, or bisexuality.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=10-301","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"6fcb8cc7ca2d3fa13b4ae519aab6a2c4ca35729fb49b122a1abb5bceaec3ebaa","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-10-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-10-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
