Code, Criminal Law § 11–107","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “indecent exposure” includes engaging in an act of masturbation in public, whether or not the person’s genitalia are exposed.\n(b) A person may not commit the common law crime of indecent exposure.\n(c) A person may not with prurient intent commit the common law crime of indecent exposure when the person knows or reasonably should know that a minor is present and the minor is:\n(1) at least 2 years old; and\n(2) more than 4 years younger than the person.\n(d) (1) A person who violates subsection (b) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(2) A person who violates subsection (c) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=11-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"8e8567d2350af5763ed55d2630d2d735b7f47fc481b0f49fe2ea2e3f3c864638","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-11-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-11-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
