Code, Criminal Law § 13–1908","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to a raffle conducted under § 13–1911.1 of this subtitle.\n(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, a qualified organization may conduct a raffle.\n(c) (1) The proceeds of a raffle:\n(i) shall benefit the qualified organization; and\n(ii) shall be used for the purposes of the qualified organization.\n(2) Except for a bona fide raffle winner, an individual or group may not:\n(i) benefit financially from the holding of a raffle; or\n(ii) receive or be paid any proceeds from a raffle for personal use or benefit.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=13-1908","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"57f2abae7aa52bfb895fde2a810e84b62ce044e122e8fb86917d667b9d8c6de3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-1907","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-1909"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
