Code, Criminal Law § 13–2001","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “County commissioners” means the Board of County Commissioners of Queen Anne’s County.\n(c) “Permit” means:\n(1) a multiple gaming device permit issued under § 13-2003 of this subtitle; or\n(2) a raffle permit issued under § 13-2004 of this subtitle.\n(d) (1) “Raffle” means a lottery in which a prize is won by a person who buys a paper chance.\n(2) A “raffle” is not a multiple gaming device regulated under § 13-2003 of this subtitle unless run in conjunction with an event that requires a multiple gaming device permit.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=13-2001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"0e6041f20af57954f22df1b52df2c4446b24f710793dea27a45f4fd9db8df296","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-1912","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-2002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
