Code, Criminal Law § 13–2606","heading":"","body":"The following organizations may conduct bingo in accordance with this part:\n(1) a bona fide religious organization that has conducted religious services at a fixed location in the county for at least 6 years before applying for a license under this part;\n(2) a municipal corporation in the county;\n(3) a volunteer fire company in the county;\n(4) a local unit of a nationwide bona fide nonprofit organization or club that consists solely of members who served in the armed forces of the United States; or\n(5) a nonprofit organization that:\n(i) intends to raise money for an exclusively charitable or educational purpose that is specifically described in the license application filed with the Department; and\n(ii) has operated as a nonprofit organization in the county for at least 5 years before applying for a license under this part.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=13-2606","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"ea43697e14cb2ff95a999dc5ca23d8e2cb487ec0138b0bb38f93ae61ddcf3249","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-2605","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-2607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
