Code, Criminal Law § 13–703","heading":"","body":"(a) Before an organization may conduct a gaming event, the organization shall obtain a permit from the county commissioners.\n(b) An organization may conduct a gaming event in the county if the organization is:\n(1) a volunteer fire company; or\n(2) a bona fide:\n(i) religious organization;\n(ii) fraternal organization;\n(iii) civic organization;\n(iv) war veterans’ organization; or\n(v) charitable organization.\n(c) (1) The permit shall state:\n(i) the nature of any gaming device to be operated at the gaming event; and\n(ii) the frequency with which the gaming event will be conducted.\n(2) The county commissioners may charge a reasonable fee for a permit.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=13-703","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"af9ca2eaec703a4d3566aa5a193bde9810e2cbc737eae58c3449d53c37c56487","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-702","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-13-704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
