Code, Criminal Law § 3–606","heading":"","body":"If a State or local unit receives a report of present or past abuse or neglect of a vulnerable adult, an investigation shall be conducted in accordance with:\n(1) § 7-1005 of the Health - General Article if the adult has a developmental disability as defined in § 7-101 of the Health - General Article;\n(2) § 10-705 of the Health - General Article if the adult is in a facility as defined in § 10-101 of the Health - General Article;\n(3) § 19-346 or § 19-347 of the Health - General Article if the adult is a resident of a related institution as defined in § 19-301 of the Health - General Article; and\n(4) §§ 14-301 through 14-309 of the Family Law Article if the adult does not meet the criteria of item (1), (2), or (3) of this section.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=3-606","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"5dd6ba5bd8c8660987cc142c5373a73b97fdd5fcc80a27accd7ddc4dc4de0b22","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-3-605","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-3-607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
