Code, Criminal Law § 5–608.1","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not knowingly violate § 5–602 of this subtitle with:\n(1) a mixture that contains heroin and a detectable amount of fentanyl or any analogue of fentanyl; or\n(2) fentanyl or any analogue of fentanyl.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a felony and, in addition to any other penalty imposed for a violation of § 5–602 of this subtitle, on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.\n(c) A sentence imposed under this section shall be consecutive to and not concurrent with any other sentence imposed under any other provision of law.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=5-608.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"5391917ddca5d8a4be401ee85c106a3839985bd1dbf913a5b85137272312f04a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-5-608","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-5-609"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
