Code, Criminal Law § 5–703","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to the mailing of a drug to a person who under State law is authorized to disburse, prescribe, or administer the drug.\n(b) A person may not send by mail a prescription drug, controlled dangerous substance, or medicine to “Resident”, “Occupant”, or to a named addressee who has not requested that the prescription drug, controlled dangerous substance, or medicine be mailed.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=5-703","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"c48d832608d8e2efa7b55ebb2521fd4c625f4ea22db6ca113e798549b8212d86","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-5-702","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-5-704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
