Code, Criminal Law § 6–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) (1) “Dwelling” means a structure any part of which has been adapted for overnight accommodation of an individual, regardless of whether an individual is actually present.\n(2) “Dwelling” includes a kitchen, shop, barn, stable, or outbuilding that is a parcel to, belongs to, or adjoins the dwelling.\n(c) “Maliciously” means acting with intent to harm a person or property.\n(d) (1) “Structure” means a building or other construction, a vehicle, or watercraft.\n(2) “Structure” includes a:\n(i) barn, stable, pier, wharf, and any facility attached to a pier or wharf;\n(ii) tent, public building, or public bridge; and\n(iii) railroad car.\n(e) “Willfully” means acting intentionally, knowingly, and purposely.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=6-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"7256d75d0a75029137b09883e9741fe20befee5a90ec628f6687349ebbf1461f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-5-1101","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-6-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
