Code, Criminal Law § 6–506","heading":"","body":"(a) Unless authorized by a railroad company that maintains offices in the State, a person may not:\n(1) buy, sell, or engage in the business of buying or selling railroad tickets or the unused parts of railroad tickets;\n(2) act as vendor or broker of whole or partly used railroad tickets;\n(3) solicit personally or by sign, advertisement, or otherwise to buy or sell railroad tickets; or\n(4) aid or abet in buying or selling railroad tickets in the State.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding $100 or both.\n(c) Each act of buying or selling railroad tickets is a separate violation.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=6-506","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"fcb3f29f761ce876fc7bf9ec08fc72f70e1dbf611a3d83f22105b7634e91310d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-6-505","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-7-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
