Code, Criminal Law § 8–903","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A person may not intentionally issue, sell, or give to an unauthorized person a ticket or instrument for the transfer from a conveyance on one passenger line or route to a conveyance on another line or route of the same or a different carrier.\n(2) Unless authorized to do so, a person may not intentionally receive a ticket or instrument for the transfer from a conveyance on one passenger line or route to a conveyance on another line or route of the same or a different carrier.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to:\n(1) for the first violation, a fine not exceeding $100; and\n(2) for each subsequent violation, imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.","path":["Article - Criminal Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcr\u0026section=8-903","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:08Z","sha256":"97f2b3cec474262f7e58ad5bf05d089bbb19436d564177eaa211fd1f542267d7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-8-902","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-law-8-904"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
