Code, Criminal Procedure § 10–107","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this subtitle, if two or more charges, other than one for a minor traffic violation or possession of cannabis under § 5–601 of the Criminal Law Article, arise from the same incident, transaction, or set of facts, they are considered to be a unit.\n(2) A charge for a minor traffic violation or possession of cannabis under § 5–601 of the Criminal Law Article that arises from the same incident, transaction, or set of facts as a charge in the unit is not a part of the unit.\n(b) (1) If a person is not entitled to expungement of one charge or conviction in a unit, the person is not entitled to expungement of any other charge or conviction in the unit.\n(2) The disposition of a charge for a minor traffic violation that arises from the same incident, transaction, or set of facts as a charge in the unit does not affect any right to expungement of a charge or conviction in the unit.","path":["Article - Criminal Procedure"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcp\u0026section=10-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:17Z","sha256":"6d0099c520d7716b832e3811ead034426b10cb9888a7ffce3a1466c6c39bac0d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-10-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-10-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
