Code, Criminal Procedure § 11–721","heading":"","body":"(a) A registrant may not knowingly fail to register, knowingly fail to provide the notice required under § 11–705 of this subtitle, knowingly fail to provide any information required to be included in a registration statement described in § 11–706 of this subtitle, or knowingly provide false information of a material fact as required by this subtitle.\n(b) A person who violates this section:\n(1) for a first offense, is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 3 years or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both; and\n(2) for a second or subsequent offense, is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.\n(c) A person who violates this section is subject to § 5–106(b) of the Courts Article.","path":["Article - Criminal Procedure"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcp\u0026section=11-721","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:17Z","sha256":"0e41c4827a48b550b0d9968a03db6bb3a02bbde7fd1fa2549a18beee6ac507ef","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-11-720","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-11-722"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
