Code, Criminal Procedure § 11–725","heading":"","body":"(a) Under the supervision of the Division of Parole and Probation, a sexual offender management team shall conduct lifetime sexual offender supervision and the supervision of probation, parole, or mandatory release of a person subject to lifetime sexual offender supervision.\n(b) A sexual offender management team:\n(1) consists of:\n(i) a specially trained parole and probation agent; and\n(ii) a representative of a sexual offender treatment program or provider; and\n(2) may include:\n(i) victim advocates or victim service providers with recognized expertise in sexual abuse and victimization;\n(ii) faith counselors;\n(iii) employment counselors;\n(iv) community leaders;\n(v) a polygraph examiner with recognized expertise in sexual offender–specific polygraph examination;\n(vi) a law enforcement officer;\n(vii) an assistant State’s Attorney;\n(viii) an assistant public defender; and\n(ix) a foreign or sign language interpreter.\n(c) (1) A sexual offender management team shall submit a progress report on each person under supervision to the sentencing court, or juvenile court in the case of a person who is required to register under § 11–704(c) of this subtitle, once every 6 months.\n(2) Unless disclosure of a report would be in violation of laws regarding confidentiality of treatment records, a sexual offender management team shall provide copies of each progress report to local law enforcement units of the county in which the person resides.","path":["Article - Criminal Procedure"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcp\u0026section=11-725","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:17Z","sha256":"0ccdb3fdba26af084bf052ef9c0a777700cecff06d80c59f3fe4c47bfcb6544e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-11-724","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-11-726"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
