Code, Criminal Procedure § 6–206","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to any other powers set forth elsewhere, the Commission may:\n(1) establish subcommittees or advisory committees composed of Commission members to accomplish the duties imposed under this section;\n(2) require each State unit and local government unit to give information to the Commission on request; and\n(3) apply for, accept, and use grants or financial or other aid from a public or private source to accomplish the duties established in this part.\n(b) At least annually, the Commission shall hold a hearing for public comments about the issues that are being studied by the Commission.\n(c) (1) The Commission may adopt rules governing the administration and proceedings of the Commission.\n(2) A change to the sentencing guidelines requires adoption by a majority of the total number of members of the Commission.","path":["Article - Criminal Procedure"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcp\u0026section=6-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:17Z","sha256":"a8161ec04339c4ec283c70c6823945143fcf2088535cf6c93e1a13bca6a2b593","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-6-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-6-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
