Code, Criminal Procedure § 9–111","heading":"","body":"(a) An officer may not deliver to the agent for extradition of the demanding state a person in the officer’s custody under the Governor’s warrant in willful disobedience to § 9-110 of this title.\n(b) A person who violates subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or both.\n(c) The trial of a case brought for a violation of this section shall be conducted in the circuit court of the county in which the violation was committed.","path":["Article - Criminal Procedure"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcp\u0026section=9-111","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:17Z","sha256":"716d61d6459e4cb82b5f9b7b97802d78da65e81236953020d8e0bb8aa368edbb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-9-110","next":"us-md/md.-code-criminal-procedure-9-112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
