Code, Economic Development § 10–423","heading":"","body":"(a) After consulting with the Secretary, the Board shall adopt standards to award financial assistance.\n(b) The standards shall authorize the award of financial assistance to:\n(1) support the development and use of best practices in the incubation process;\n(2) provide strategic planning, needs assessments, and feasibility studies; or\n(3) help acquire or improve new or expanded space or improve existing space for an incubator, including providing or helping another with:\n(i) acquisition of land;\n(ii) acquisition of architectural or engineering services;\n(iii) payment of administrative costs;\n(iv) development or upgrading of communications infrastructure;\n(v) acquisition of furnishings or equipment; or\n(vi) acquisition of other items associated with tenant build-out.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=10-423","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"21a1537a33540295fed7fbf5dbedafc5685dae0c55badfc45f6892123bb45a26","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-422","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-424"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
