Code, Economic Development § 10–4C–01","heading":"","body":"// EFFECTIVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30, 2028 PER CHAPTER 322 OF 2022 //\n(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Board” has the meaning stated in § 10–401 of this title.\n(c) “Corporation” has the meaning stated in § 10–401 of this title.\n(d) “Financial assistance” means a grant, a loan, or similar assistance.\n(e) “Fund” means the Maryland Makerspace Initiative Fund.\n(f) “Makerspace” means a community space that:\n(1) provides access to tools, technology, and knowledge for learners and entrepreneurs;\n(2) results in the prototyping or creation of physical goods; and\n(3) supports the development of educational opportunities for personal growth, workforce training, and early–stage business ventures.\n(g) “Program” means the Maryland Makerspace Initiative Program.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=10-4C-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"789bd29ca1db10f10d58b4acfd0f3b63caee251b2eb6dec877d3da34079bfc2b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-4b-01","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-4c-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
