Code, Economic Development § 10–4D–03","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the provisions of this subtitle, the Corporation shall establish a grant and loan program to provide grants and loans for State–funded, human–relevant animal testing alternatives research.\n(b) A grant or loan awarded under this subtitle is contingent on the recipient entering into a memorandum of understanding with the Corporation that:\n(1) establishes the scope of the State’s ownership or other financial interest in the commercialization and other benefits of the results, products, inventions, and discoveries resulting from State–funded, human–relevant research; and\n(2) to the extent consistent with federal and State law, reflects the intellectual property policies of the Corporation.\n(c) The Corporation may not disburse grant or loan money to a recipient until the recipient meets the requirements of subsection (b) of this section.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=10-4D-03","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"5d87446eb557df9b36451dc9629b180867416f9d709a444b6f7ac4e428474a52","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-4d-02","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-4d-04"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
