Code, Economic Development § 10–636","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the prior approval of the Board of Public Works, the Authority may issue bonds to refund any of its outstanding bonds, including the payment of:\n(1) any redemption premium; and\n(2) any interest accrued or that will accrue to the earliest or any subsequent date of redemption, purchase, or maturity of the bonds.\n(b) (1) For the public purpose of achieving a savings in the effective costs of debt service or alleviating impending or actual default, the Authority may issue refunding bonds directly or through a debt restructuring.\n(2) The bonds authorized by this subsection may be issued in one or more series and in an amount in excess of that of the bonds to be refunded.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=10-636","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"4d62cae129c1b86590dd2071df544a11afd1a0a4f813c0dbc04d30a8518a28d1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-635","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-639"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
