Code, Economic Development § 10–821","heading":"","body":"The Center may:\n(1) acquire, develop, improve, manage, market, license, sublicense, maintain, lease as lessor or lessee, or operate a project in the State to carry out its purposes;\n(2) acquire, directly or indirectly, from a person or governmental unit, by purchase, gift, or devise any property, rights–of–way, franchises, easements, or other interests in land, including submerged land and riparian rights:\n(i) as necessary or convenient to improve or operate a project to carry out its purposes; and\n(ii) on the terms and at the prices that it considers reasonable; and\n(3) enter into a project with a manufacturer to carry out its purposes.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=10-821","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"31f601bb1b507d4f4b4d776a6f65ebd4c2c44074fcee1de7defe0b4ef86b805f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-820","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-10-821.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
