Code, Economic Development § 12–117","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to a lease or contract under which:\n(1) the State or a unit of the State will be an initial user or occupant of a facility financed by bonds issued under this subtitle; or\n(2) a facility financed by bonds issued under this subtitle will be built on property owned by the State.\n(b) The State or a unit of the State may not enter into a lease or contract that is subject to this section and that forms a part of the security for bonds issued under this subtitle unless:\n(1) the Legislative Policy Committee has authorized the facility as being consistent with the capital budget; and\n(2) the Board of Public Works specifically has approved the bond issue for that facility.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=12-117","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"b071cf26531798e0b2cbe6eb46ed346385bbfcdd945194804fc7b53656722988","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-12-116","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-12-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
