Code, Economic Development § 12–301","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Bond” means a bond, note, or other similar instrument that a political subdivision issues under this subtitle.\n(c) “Chief executive” means the president, chair, mayor, county executive, or any other chief executive officer of a political subdivision.\n(d) “Designated blighted area” means an area designated under § 12-303 of this subtitle.\n(e) “Financed area” means the geographic portion of a designated blighted area for which the proceeds of a bond are to be used under § 12-303 of this subtitle.\n(f) “Political subdivision” means a county or municipal corporation.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=12-301","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"c67533c53d58773defc2bc50836187aba9b085274ac4629716d2ba6f2d5b216a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-12-213","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-12-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
