Code, Economic Development § 13–1103","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The Advisory Committee consists of nine members.\n(2) Of the nine members:\n(i) three shall be from Somerset County;\n(ii) three shall be from Wicomico County; and\n(iii) three shall be from Worcester County.\n(3) The governing body of each county shall appoint the members from that county.\n(b) Each member of the Advisory Committee shall be a member of the general public and reside in the county from which the member is appointed.\n(c) (1) The term of a member is 5 years.\n(2) The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Advisory Committee on October 1, 2008.\n(3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(d) The governing body that appointed a member may remove the member for incompetence or misconduct.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=13-1103","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"386885e0c31180c9a2228380cb5bfd2180a0b0731d17fa4644910deaf8d3e575","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-13-1102","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-13-1104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
