Code, Economic Development § 16–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Grant Program” means the Purple Line Construction Zone Grant Program.\n(c) “Qualified small business” means a sole proprietorship, a partnership, a limited partnership, a limited liability partnership, a limited liability company, or a corporation that:\n(1) employs 20 or fewer employees;\n(2) is independently owned and operated;\n(3) is not a subsidiary of another business;\n(4) is not dominant in its field of operation; and\n(5) is impacted by the construction of the Purple Line light rail project in Montgomery County and Prince George’s County.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=16-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"425a9c998a77eb87b180c5c764e1293a8291b78b7e23d255812dd9bddc086348","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-15-107","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-16-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
