Code, Economic Development § 4–304","heading":"","body":"(a) The Office shall implement a program to promote the production of motion pictures and television programs in the State.\n(b) The Office shall:\n(1) prepare and distribute promotional and informational materials that address:\n(i) desirable locations in the State to produce motion pictures and television programs;\n(ii) the benefits and advantages of producing motion pictures and television programs in the State; and\n(iii) the services and assistance available from State government, local government, and the motion picture and television industry;\n(2) assist motion picture and television companies to secure location permits and other services in connection with motion picture and television production; and\n(3) facilitate cooperation from federal, State, and local governmental units and the private sector in locating and producing motion pictures and television programs.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=4-304","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"de95ad55ee704667ddc0ba7936381168683faa69bbb38d21d0278c4067e811df","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-4-303","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-4-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
