Code, Economic Development § 5–1003","heading":"","body":"Loans shall be made under this subtitle for the purposes of:\n(1) providing financial support to:\n(i) a business owned by a reserve component member who is called to active duty; or\n(ii) a small business employer of a reserve component member who is called to active duty;\n(2) making the home, motor vehicle, or place of employment of a veteran accessible to individuals with disabilities, including purchasing equipment necessary to enable a business to employ a service–disabled veteran or to enable a service–disabled veteran to operate a business; and\n(3) defraying other necessary expenses, as determined by the Department of Veterans and Military Families, incurred by:\n(i) a business employing a service–disabled veteran; or\n(ii) a veteran–owned small business.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-1003","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"12cb2423aff4915f381f501a89d055ca2d182d7e8cc0e8dde9c101a27a924d41","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-1002","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-1004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
