Code, Economic Development § 5–104","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary may:\n(1) invest in a specialized small business investment company created in accordance with the federal Small Business Investment Act of 1958; and\n(2) to the extent allowed by federal law, do anything necessary or convenient to fully participate in the formation and operation of a specialized small business investment company.\n(b) Notwithstanding any other law, the Secretary may use money to finance a specialized small business investment company from accounts within:\n(1) the Enterprise Fund established under Subtitle 6 of this title; and\n(2) the Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority established under Subtitle 5 of this title.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-104","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"5eff2c100dfb8be19f79e523545b9a6ceeee87c63d899c7ff34f974082040a79","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-103","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
