Code, Economic Development § 5–2605","heading":"","body":"The Commission shall:\n(1) identify research and funding opportunities for entities in this State that:\n(i) strengthen and enhance the State’s leadership position in civil, commercial, and military aerospace research and development;\n(ii) integrate the aerospace industry into the economy of the State;\n(iii) capitalize, promote, and assist in the development of workforce training to further the development of emerging technologies required for all aspects of space exploration; and\n(iv) develop public–private partnerships that advance both the State’s aerospace industry and the surrounding community;\n(2) establish advisory committees as needed;\n(3) develop aerospace–related educational opportunities within the State in coordination with local educational institutions; and\n(4) develop and annually update a strategic plan developed in accordance with § 5–2606 of this subtitle to implement the goals of the Commission.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-2605","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"17802d9f7cc8ccde59f3a7a24d86afdc759a8d86d284e3ca9c2b2801bd8795d5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-2604","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-2606"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
