Code, Economic Development § 5–313","heading":"","body":"The Fund consists of:\n(1) money appropriated in the State budget to the Fund;\n(2) money made available to the Fund through federal programs or private contributions;\n(3) repayments of principal and interest from loans made from the Fund;\n(4) proceeds from the sale, disposition, lease, or rental of collateral related to financial assistance provided by the Department under this subtitle;\n(5) application or other fees paid to the Fund to process requests for financial assistance;\n(6) recovery of an investment made by the Department in a business, including an arrangement under which part of the investment is recovered through:\n(i) a requirement that the Department receive a proportion of cash flow, commissions, royalties, or license fees;\n(ii) the repurchase from the Department of any of its investment interest; or\n(iii) the sale of an appreciated asset;\n(7) repayments received from recipients of conditional grants from the Department;\n(8) money collected under § 9–229 of the Tax – Property Article;\n(9) repayments on or recoveries from financial assistance provided from the former:\n(i) Brownfields Revitalization Incentive Fund;\n(ii) Child Care Facilities Direct Loan Fund;\n(iii) Child Care Special Loan Fund;\n(iv) Maryland Industrial and Commercial Redevelopment Fund;\n(v) Maryland Industrial Land Fund;\n(vi) Maryland Seafood and Aquaculture Loan Fund; and\n(vii) Smart Growth Economic Development Infrastructure Fund; and\n(10) any other money made available to the Fund.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-313","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"e87dc380dd21d35d4011ce193b0c42145f1e4311d5d89bd275b800b3f65d8b65","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-312","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-314"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
