Code, Economic Development § 5–331","heading":"","body":"(a) During each fiscal year the Department may not grant more than $2,000,000 under this part.\n(b) (1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, during each fiscal year a county may not receive more than $250,000 under this part.\n(2) For purposes of the limitation under paragraph (1) of this subsection:\n(i) any money received under this part by a municipal corporation or designated agency or instrumentality is deemed to be money granted to the county within which the municipal corporation, agency, or instrumentality is located; and\n(ii) if more than one county administers or capitalizes a local economic development fund, each county may receive the maximum authorized for a county.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-331","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"bdbcac721b3486af9ddc8658e0579193cb456d9467ec11e356ed0b5a971aa7a6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-330","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-332"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
