Code, Economic Development § 5–348","heading":"","body":"(a) The proceeds of a child care special loan may be used:\n(1) to assist the applicant in meeting applicable State and local child care standards;\n(2) to pay for minor renovations, and to upgrade child care facilities, to ensure that applicants meet State and local child care standards; or\n(3) to purchase and install equipment and furniture, including equipment needed to accommodate children with special needs.\n(b) Except as provided in subsection (a) of this section, the proceeds of a child care special loan may not be used:\n(1) to purchase or improve land; or\n(2) to purchase, construct, or improve a building or facility.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-348","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"6435a343bbc5ed3bb5aafa3b77b6249a4df97b62385b2ba7ac7666b6450ca413","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-347","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-349"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
