Code, Economic Development § 5–463","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not knowingly make or cause a false statement or report to be made in an application or document submitted to the Authority.\n(b) A person may not knowingly make or cause a false statement or report to be made to influence an action of the Authority:\n(1) on an application for financial assistance under this subtitle; or\n(2) affecting financial assistance sought or awarded under this subtitle.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $50,000 or both.\n(d) A person who violates this section is subject to § 5-106(b) of the Courts Article.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-463","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"23c34be8390bb0ae852a4c0ee98c25b6bfd09d39a3f71724eca9d178083f3129","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-460","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-466"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
