Code, Economic Development § 5–570","heading":"","body":"(a) The Authority may only approve a guaranty or a bond under this part if the Authority determines that the contract, for which a bond is sought to be guaranteed or issued, will have a substantial economic impact.\n(b) To determine the economic impact of a contract, the Authority may consider:\n(1) the amount of the guaranty obligation;\n(2) the terms of the bond to be guaranteed;\n(3) the number of new jobs that the contract to be bonded will create; and\n(4) any other factor that the Authority considers relevant.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-570","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"27307bb9ccb931b794c1a26f75172a28f88e045eed31e762a989648fbf57aa17","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-569","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-571"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
