Code, Economic Development § 5–575","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report in an application or document submitted to the Authority under this part.\n(b) A person may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report to influence an action of the Authority under this part:\n(1) on an application for assistance; or\n(2) affecting bonding assistance whether or not the assistance has been extended.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.","path":["Article - Economic Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gec\u0026section=5-575","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:28Z","sha256":"ee3444ed1b3b6e18ac067e0b3debd1cda533d9a240cfae96773fba23fe5f2507","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-574","next":"us-md/md.-code-economic-development-5-701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
