Code, Education § 15–124","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “eligible service member” means:\n(1) An active service member; and\n(2) A veteran who has received an honorable discharge or a certificate of satisfactory completion of service.\n(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, a public institution of higher education shall grant priority registration for courses to an eligible service member.\n(c) The priority registration requirement under subsection (b) of this section:\n(1) Applies only within 15 years after the eligible service member was last on active duty; and\n(2) Does not apply after an eligible service member’s fourth academic year.\n(d) Each public institution of higher education shall adopt policies necessary to implement this section.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=15-124","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"15d0572a43214cb909b7795a1f5783e157cfd7147493a027d0c908d96375dafe","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-15-123","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-15-125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
