Code, Education § 16–109","heading":"","body":"Each community college shall:\n(1) Ensure all student advisors are trained on the unique needs and resources available for students who are veterans;\n(2) Employ at least one employee who, as a component of the employee’s job duties and responsibilities, provides comprehensive and intensive enrollment and advising services to current and prospective students who are veterans; and\n(3) Establish a veterans resource center on campus to:\n(i) Provide access to federal and State veterans resources;\n(ii) Serve as a quiet place for veterans to study;\n(iii) Enable veterans to connect to other veterans, helping them renew the bonds of service; and\n(iv) Be the central hub for all activities on campus related to veterans.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=16-109","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"6d54edb4465868619dcc4ca0ffd9757fa44a64c1cbc9ad4764e83a944940c4a5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-16-108","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-16-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
