Code, Education § 18–1205","heading":"","body":"(a) A private career school student grant may be used at a private career school in this State that:\n(1) Is approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission;\n(2) Operates solely within the State;\n(3) Does not have an outstanding notice of deficiencies under appeal in accordance with the regulations adopted by the Higher Education Commission;\n(4) Does not have a negative final report under the State Postsecondary Review Program in accordance with 34 C.F.R. § 667.23 as the regulation may be amended; and\n(5) Has not been referred for review under the State Postsecondary Review Program as a result of its student loan default rates in accordance with 34 C.F.R. § 667.5 as the regulation may be amended.\n(b) A grant awarded under this subtitle may be used for tuition charges only.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-1205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"1bcf4824c0bef69364c4c656f7f9e7ce043a19f2afbb56eeaa3e5a57f5f99bd7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-1204","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-1206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
