Code, Education § 18–1601","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Eligible employment” means full-time employment in the State in an occupation requiring a college or university degree in a math or science program.\n(c) “Higher education loan” means any loan for undergraduate study that is obtained for tuition, educational expenses, or living expenses from:\n(1) A college or university, government, or commercial source; or\n(2) An organization, institution, association, society, or corporation that is exempt from taxation under § 501(c)(3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-1601","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"7ef662dc63d1cc7e13e26dae6fdb0fb7359d94161be4ac3ba1e5d0d732075513","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-1506","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-1602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
