Code, Education § 18–19C–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “ABLE account” means an account described under § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(c) “ABLE account contributor” means an individual who contributes money to an ABLE account described under § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(d) “ABLE account holder” means an individual who is the designated beneficiary of an account described under § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(e) “Designated beneficiary” means an individual described in § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(f) “Eligible individual” means an individual described in § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(g) “Maryland ABLE Program” means a qualified ABLE program described in § 529A(b) of the Internal Revenue Code.\n(h) “Qualified disability expenses” means expenses described in § 529A(e) of the Internal Revenue Code.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-19C-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"5b6626e95c14f1003c3f0b1f0b16364d098e025ec5ecc8f9b03682a761e06b65","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-19b-08","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-19c-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
