Code, Education § 18–2401","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Higher education loan” means any loan for undergraduate or graduate study leading to practice as a dentist or dental hygienist that is obtained for tuition, educational expenses, or living expenses from:\n(1) A college or university, government, or commercial source; or\n(2) An organization, institution, association, society, or corporation that is exempt from taxation under § 501(c)(3) or (4) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.\n(c) “Program” means the Maryland Dent–Care Program.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-2401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"f53becdf9bedd422d6e5dffd8fa67ea7b2c6e035b59a13d4baa8f7f67096c805","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-2311","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-2402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
