Code, Education § 18–2504","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, the annual amount of the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship awarded under this subtitle shall be $1,000.\n(2) For a student who enrolls in a science, teaching, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or nursing program at a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in the State, the annual amount of the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship awarded under this subtitle shall be $2,000.\n(b) A 2+2 Transfer Scholarship may be used for tuition and mandatory fees for 3 years of study, or six semesters of study, whichever is longer.\n(c) To retain a 2+2 Transfer Scholarship, the recipient shall:\n(1) Remain a resident of the State;\n(2) Continue to be enrolled as an undergraduate student in a degree program at a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in the State;\n(3) Maintain a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale each academic year the individual is enrolled at a public senior higher education institution or a private nonprofit institution of higher education in the State or provide evidence satisfactory to the Office of extenuating circumstances; and\n(4) Maintain the standards of the eligible institution that the individual attends.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-2504","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"c110627b0779bcc51e30ba181960eccad3b7d4c40c57e52bf2fe1692dd3e9abb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-2503","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-2505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
