Code, Education § 18–27A–01","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Collaborative” means an agreement outlining commitments of a partnership among:\n(1) At least one local school system;\n(2) At least one employee organization representing employees of a local school system in accordance with Title 6, Subtitle 4 or Subtitle 5 of this article; and\n(3) (i) At least one institution of higher education in the State; or\n(ii) An alternative partnership model formed in accordance with § 18–27A–04(e) or (f) of this subtitle.\n(c) “Noncertified education support professional” means a public school employee who is not:\n(1) A certificated employee designated as part of a bargaining unit under Title 6, Subtitle 4 of this article;\n(2) A managerial employee; or\n(3) A confidential employee.\n(d) “Program” means the Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program established under this subtitle.\n(e) “Provisional teacher” means an individual employed by a local school system through a provisional contract as a conditional teacher.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-27A-01","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"4bf065d5d5790b8400053bbc57631e31d39968251f636edc6d78bb294bee2536","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-2706","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-27a-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
