Code, Education § 18–27A–06","heading":"","body":"(a) Each year, the Department shall collect:\n(1) Data on teacher candidate race, gender, and linguistic status;\n(2) Data on teacher candidate status and retention;\n(3) Spending by category;\n(4) A summary of teacher candidate recruitment methods; and\n(5) If applicable, the hiring status and retention data of Program graduates.\n(b) (1) On or before July 1, 2026, and each July 1 thereafter, the Department shall report on the data collected under subsection (a) of this section to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article.\n(2) In issuing reports under this section, the Department shall make reasonable efforts to anonymize the data to protect the privacy of teacher candidates.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-27A-06","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"4eacd81fe4ae0a8a307c25b523a08ea119825799b8b862dd36023dd633858dc6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-27a-05","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-28a-01"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
