Code, Education § 18–3803","heading":"","body":"(a) Each year, the Office shall select eligible students and offer a scholarship to each student selected to be used at an eligible institution of the student’s choice.\n(b) A recipient of the Maryland Police Officers and Probation Agents Scholarship shall:\n(1) Be a Maryland resident or have graduated from a Maryland high school;\n(2) Be accepted for admission or currently enrolled at an eligible institution as a full–time or part–time undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a course of study or program that would further the recipient’s career;\n(3) Sign a letter of intent to perform the service obligation on completion of the recipient’s required studies; and\n(4) Satisfy any additional criteria the Commission may establish.\n(c) A current police officer or probation agent shall be eligible for a Maryland Police Officers and Probation Agents Scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria under subsection (b) of this section.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=18-3803","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"7827542b53bc34fb88a01c2b36c71434dd3635ff33d1c46b132b7acbf77fb9a5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-3802","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-18-3804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
