Code, Education § 20–101","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) There is a Maryland College Savings Bond Advisory Board.\n(2) The purpose of the Board is to advise the Board of Public Works on the issuance of college savings bonds authorized under § 8–123.3 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.\n(b) The Board shall consist of the following four members:\n(1) The State Treasurer;\n(2) The Secretary of Higher Education; and\n(3) Two members appointed by the Governor.\n(c) Factors to be considered in appointing members to the Board may include:\n(1) Experience, skill, or knowledge in the areas of public finance and investment banking; or\n(2) Experience in the field of higher education finance.\n(d) The Treasurer shall serve as chair of the Advisory Board.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=20-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"394d0fd2b160f6b402a6956dadb6c9e14d36fcb6f71186d91e5b497364a1c2c3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-19-112","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-20-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
