Code, Education § 3–105","heading":"","body":"(a) Subsections (b), (c), and (d) of this section do not apply to a county if the number of members of the county board is regulated by other provisions of this title.\n(b) If a county school system has an enrollment of less than 50,000 students, the county board shall have five members, except that:\n(1) The Worcester County Board shall have the number of members provided in subsection (e) of this section; and\n(2) Any county board that had more than five members on July 1, 1969, shall retain that number of members.\n(c) If a county school system has an enrollment of 50,000 students or more but less than 100,000 students, the county board shall have seven members.\n(d) If a county school system has an enrollment of 100,000 students or more, the county board shall have nine members except as provided in § 3–901 of this title for Montgomery County and § 3–1002 of this title for Prince George’s County.\n(e) The Worcester County Board consists of seven voting members and one nonvoting student member from each public high school in the county.","path":["Article - Education"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ged\u0026section=3-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:38Z","sha256":"5ea18ffb283c8edf5a17eb872147a0f018ea3040f76c6d29fc9362061193713b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-education-3-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
